This is quite possibly the most brilliant thing I have read all day. Perhaps even the last three days, all Obama-related news excepted.

(Keep in mind that the object of the community is to list all of the reasons other people give for disliking your OTP (or whatever) and/or the exact antithesis(...es?) of why you ship your ship of choice, so that anyone who reads has the option of either spamming you with adorable macros or writing/drawing pr0n geared specifically towards your kinks in the guise of flames. Wait. Lego pieces all have both stickly bits and holes, and they're all pretty much the same, just fitting their respective bits and holes together in convenient ways ... which is kind of what characters in slash tend to do ... so, I think, that kind of blows the pro-het lego analogy out of the water. Or something like that.

I think we're supposed to interpret the slots and tabs as different entities? So slots cannot stick to slots and tabs can only stick to tabs for a short while, but tab plus slot is a perfect fit. Not that we're supposed to be taking the post too seriously anyway...
