I can't quite remember when I learned this was a day; sometime in the past eight years, at least. And I'm sure I'd forget what day it is if I didn't have a post about it scheduled on Tumblr.

Anyway, the important thing is that you know it's a day now, and can celebrate accordingly!

• Laurence Yep's good at dragons, just, in general.

I've been rereading the Enchanted Forest Chronicles this past week or so myself, without knowing this was a thing. Lots of good dragon lore, those books.

Upon a recent rereading of my own, I'm pretty sure that the Enchanted Forest Chronicles actually influenced my writing style pretty heavily. I definitely have a tendency to set things up just so, and also try to explain in text all the reasons exactly why a thing should or should not be done.

Probably not my favorite dragons, but shoutout to the absolutely wild weird animated movie Flight of Dragons that I was *obsessed* with as a kid.

(Enchanted Forest Chronicles and Jane Yolen's Pit Dragon Chronicles were probably the bigger dragon-based influences on tiny me, but still.)
