Warming up
Jan. 25th, 2022 07:00 pmMy parents managed to find a repair person to come by and fix the heater before noon today, yay! The house is mostly back to normal temperature now, which is even better đ
That said, the repair person did say that the company that made our heater is no longer making parts for it, and it was lucky that he had what we needed already; we need to start contemplating saving up for a new heater over the next few years.
But still! Warm house now, at least!

Date: 2022-01-26 09:55 am (UTC)I count "not making this type anymore, and the new type is completely different" as planned obsolescence, too. Both are geared towards making you buy a new device instead of fixing the old, which isn't very sustainable.
But yay, warm house!
