...They're smaller than I thought they'd be, in pretty much all dimensions. Like, I was expecting the stems to be a teensy bit longer, and I was definitely expecting the screw-on back to be bigger. Still, I got them on properly, and they fit, so I'm taking the win.
I think one of my expectation problems with these are the screw-back clip-on earrings I tried on as a child. They worked with a similar mechanic to a C-clamp, and the back was even disc-shaped like nap earrings. That said, I definitely remember the disc-shaped back being bigger on screw-back clip-ons, as well as having ridged edges, like a US dime or quarter. I feel like both of those would be useful improvements to modern screw-on pierced earrings.
Luckily, I remembered that the ridged edges were exclusive to the screw-back clip-on earrings before my nap earrings arrived, so I got that small disappointment out of the way early. I'm definitely remembering these details for if I decide to buy more nap earrings in the future. At least these ones look super cute.
