Reading and cartoons and roller coasters
May. 10th, 2005 01:41 pmFinished reading Frankenstein in class. Still have the urge to write up essays comparing it to FMA. Will think about it, and/or see if I can get extra credit if I do.
Here's desperately hoping that Mr. Hartwig will finish screening FMA episode 3 by 8:10 tomorrow morning so we can watch it in class. (He had issues with the DVD skipping on his X-box =_=; He still gets major 'cool teacher' points for considering it, though.) We'll also be watching a few scenes from modern-ish Frankenstein movies. Am looking forward to it muchly.
Had a test over World Lit over Frankenstein today--hoping for something in the 'B' range. I think it's a fairly realistic hope. Also had to turn in roller coaster designs/models/calculations/what-have-you for physics today. >_< God, I hate this project. Jason and I miraculously put together a model of our roller coaster in under an hour, using only paper and tape. I think we won't do too badly, considering Jason was out of school for two of the (five?) days we had in class to work on this. Of course, it also looks like we only managed to slap it together in under an hour, but it's better than nothing.
Am feeling somewhat burned-out at the moment. It is quite... irritating.
Put up GLoW stuff in the school display case yesterday. Hoping for a good reaction, though we have no real way of knowing in advance. Even here, in Liberalville, there is discrimination ;_; T-shirt design has been finalized and sent off. Hoping desperately for Gay Penguin T-shirts soon.
Picked up Herman Melville's Moby Dick on Friday. It's not bad. Doing wonders for my vocabulary. (I love fanfic and all but frankly, the language usually isn't that challenging. Sometimes it's a good thing, sometimes it's not. *shrug*) Still need to read Paradise Lost, Dracula, I, Lucifer (apperantly), The Invisible Man, and... many other things, probably. Does anyone know if there's a 'classic' werewolf story, or is there onlymodern stuff crap modern stuff?
We've moved on to aggression in Abnormal Psych. Just now, we're covering dating/domestic violence. ...I am doing a very good job of not becoming ill, I think. (Plus side: we'll be covering serial killers in this unit. Minus side: we'll be covering serial killers in this unit. (This is from the girl who stopped reading Ill Met by Starlight because she started thinking in a way similar to that Ranma, if it helps you understand her logic any.))

campfuckudie recently. Am tempted to apply to be a 'camper' on Friday. Still debating. Still two days to pick a character and write an entry--that is, if I'm desperate to apply on the day when applications are accepted again.
