Went out to Rochester Cemetary with the Gaugers today ^___^ Had much fun, especially on the car ride there.
Dad: I passed up the chance to buy a porch swing at a garage sale the other day.
Mr. Gauger: You could've put it on the porch. And then put an ant farm on it.
Mr. Gauger: *in punch-line mode* To sleep, porch ants, to dream?
Me: *thinks about it for seven seconds* *gets it* >O That's terrible!
What's really tragic is that I was the first one to get it ^^; Especially in this family o_O...
After we were through looking at wildflowers at the cemetary, we went out for pie at the Cove ^_^ Mom took the last slice of Dutch Apple ;_; so I had to content myself with the last slice of Regular Apple ;___; On the plus side, it was a la mode ^___^ Yum!
We left with a slice of lemon creme pie for Beth Stoos, who was not able to come with us ;_;, as a consolation prize of sorts. She was not home all afternoon, it appears. Anyway, we left the slice of pie (in a styrofoam container--don't kill me for that, scary!enviornmentalists; I'm just a regular!enviornmentalist. I can't live up to your standards!) in the gap between the screen(?) door and the regular door to her house.
Mr. Gauger: Gee, I hope she doesn't step in it on the way inside.
Tomas: Like... in a lemon pie?
Mrs. Gauger: "My goodness, a herd of lemons must have passed through here recently! :O "
And we got an immature laugh out of that, but it was still a good laugh. And the cemetary was lovely :D and flower-tastic *\, *\, *\, Shooting Stars and May Apples and Columbine, oh my! ^_^
And to round things out on an almost completely unrelated note, Dad picked up a couple of Cranberries CDs at a garage sale this weekend. One of which was "No Need to Argue", which I actually didn't have :O and which was also the first Cranberries CD I ever heard (courtesy of Hannah ^___^ who was right about me liking them) As a result, very little got written this weekend ;_; *guilt guilt guilt* I still have three hours left before Monday, though! I can still make it, if I try! *strikes determined pose* *resolves to write more very soon*
