This, that, and the other thing
Jul. 8th, 2005 09:36 pmIn no particular order:
Am reading Pratchett again. As far as the normal books go, I seem to enjoy the ones with Rincewind and Granny Weatherwax. Other than that, I don't really know if there's a pattern. Yes to some, no to others. (Which is probably hard to believe for some of the die-hard Discworld fans out there, but it's the truth for me. Loath though I am to admit it, even to myself, some books I just can't get through. It happens sometimes.) Currently working my way through The Last Continent. Planning to start Witches Abroad when I finish. After that, who knows.
Am wrestling with my brain to see if it will actually let me be productive. And I mean in a good way. Anything I turn out now will not be up to standard, I think. Can't seem to focus on anything. Hence the wrestling. Hope to come out on top by Monday. Otherwise, will pray for self.
Currently have the urge to paint henna designs all over my body, just for fun. Have no henna, but I'm sure I can fix that fairly easily. Er, maybe. Anyway, this leads me to suspect that I'm having minor identity issues. I have a rather interesting habit of trying to identify myself through contradiction of those around me. I think it started in sixth grade when I pulled the rug out from under my classmates by embracing 'weirdness'. Turnaround didn't last too long, sadly, which may be why I like to do 'different' things now. Like the cat ears thing. *shrug* It's a thought.
Have (finally) decided on a kanji to put on my helmet: 'dragon' (竜, the one in Arisawa Tatsuki's name) Still have to get paint for it. Chris (will cosplay Scar) suggests model paint, as it is more likely to stick to plastic. Seems like a pretty good idea to me. I'll get around to it eventually.
Dad mentioned there being a nice scooter at a garage sale today. Says the sale is open again tomorrow. Suggested I check it out. Also pointed out that I would need a liscence before I actually drove it, but I'm (sort-of) working on that. Anyone have any idea what's a good price for a scooter? Will probably be going to take a look sometime early tomorrow regardless, but still.
...Gorged myself on eleven pieces of very good chocolate today. Not entirely sure why, aside from the fact that I've had them since graduation and only one of the dozen had been eaten so far. I liked the raspberry flavored one. And the lemon-peal one. Didn't really care for either of the flat and square ones, but liked pretty much all of the traditional gumdrop-shaped ones. And the round ones weren't bad either. Will have to buy more chocolate from that place eventually. Will probably stick to the fruit-flavored ones this time around.
Still haven't started making patterns, darn me. Might be part of my productivity issue. Will definitely have to do something about that. Have stuff that needs to be finished.
