Demented Cricket
Jul. 26th, 2005 01:58 amI suppose a few of you are wondering what I am doing up this late-early. I blame the cricket. See, there's this cricket. In our house. In the downstairs bathroom. And it has been chirping since I got up this morning (and has only stopped now that I've started typing this, how's that for irony? I swear, this happens all the time) and has some of the longest chirps I've ever heard out of a cricket. It's also loud, though I imagine the bathroom accoustics have something to do with that. And while I don't mind it so much during the day, at night, when I should be am trying to sleep, it is quite irritating. I am not used to going to sleep to cricket noises. If I got used to it, I imagine that I would have to make regular trips to the pet store to buy 'food' crickets during the winter so I would have something to go to sleep to, as I doubt the average cricket has a very long lifespan.
Anyway, it's irritating.I hope one of our house spiders gets it soon.
