soc_puppetYaaarrrr! 'Tis Talk Like a Pirate Day for all ye bloody landlubbers who be fergettin'! An' I be a practicin' to the best o' me ability, arr!
Yesterday, me an' me mum and little brother went ta see Howl's Moving Castle at the Bijou. A fine establishment she be, too, arr! 'Twas a fine motion picture, as these things go. Howl was a dish, arr, and Sophie wasn't that bad ta look at neither. A Miyazaki film all over it was--though I believe it had more kissin' than all the rest o' his movies put together. The dubbed version it was due to circumstances beyond the theater's control, arr, but it'was a good dub all in all! Billy Crystal 'twas a fine choice for Calcifer, that he be. Still, I be a lookin' forward ta the DVD release of it, so's I can hear the Japanese voice choices, yarr.
On a related note, I be gettin' the hankerin' ta make a music video o' the movie set ta When I'm Sixty-Four. Anyone else got this problem? Yarr.
After listenin' exclusively ta the Rasputina version of Bad Moon Rising, yarr, 'twas quite different ta be listenin' ta the original one. Quite different they be soundin', arr. I dun laugh meself ta pieces, yarr.
On Saturday I went ta the Dojo, as is traditional, yarr. There, when Aikido class 'twas endin' and Bojustu class was startin' up, I be seein' a girl with a very distictive hair-style, yarr. A girl who had previously worn a home-made Icha Icha Paradise shirt she was, yarr, and there she be, her hair dyed slightly blue, spikey in the back and long-ish in the front. I couldn't help but think that I had missed 'er at Anime Iowa, yarr.
Oh, one last thing 'afore I go off a' plunderin' again, yarr. Be forgivin' of me latest icon, please, as ye all know how I am with resistin' bad ideas and puns and such. Yarr. ('Twas also me only ocean-related icon, an' with this bein' Talk Like a Pirate Day an' all, I figured it be as good a time as any ta break it out.)
