WIP: Furuba/Saiyuki Crossover: a-b/1

soc_puppetBeen in a bit of a blue funk lately, which hasn't helped my resolution to update LJ every day, but for whatever reason seems to be helping my writing O_o. I really hope it's not the start of a trend, though.
Story's only diologue now, and I hope it's clear enough from what's said who is speaking but I can't be positive, so I'll probably go through and add more(?) narration later. The actual crossover with Saiyuki also doesn't appear in either of these two sceenes, though it should show up in the third.

Summary: Fusion of sorts between Saiyuki and Fruits Basket. Only four characters actually replaced. You'll catch on eventually. C&C desperately wanted.

It all started with an innocent seeming phone call.
"Hello,"
"Hello, 'Gure-san?"
"Ah, no, this is Honda Tohru--"
"Tohru-kun? How lovely to meet you! I've just heard so much about you from 'Gure-san and the others..."
"Um, your reason for calling...?"
"Oh! Yes, that's right. Could I speak to Shigure-san please? Tell him it's Aaya."
------
"Shigure-san, phone call for you,"
"Oh?"
"He says his name is Aaya."
*crack*
"Ah! Yuki-kun, your cup--!"
"Thank you Tohru-kun, I'll take the phone now."
"Don't worry about it, Honda-san. We have plenty of other cups."
"Yes, but you could cut yourself! And you've spilled your drink! I'll just get you another one..."
"...Thank you, Honda-san."
"Thanks for calling, Aaya; I'll make sure they go."
"...What was that about?"
"Aaya was just calling to say that your check-up is tomorrow, Yuki-kun. We're going to bring Kyo-kun, too."
"What?! Why do I have to go to the doctor's at the same time as that damn Yuki?!"
"..."
"So we don't have to make two trips! It'll be just like killing a cat and a mouse with one stone!"
"/.../"
"Here's your drink, Yuki-kun! ...Oh? Did someting happen?"
Sigh. "It's nothing, Honda-san. Don't worry about it."

Um, yes XD. Rather shaky universe here. Set after Tohru-kun has been invited to stay but before the school festival and without the meeting with Kagura (who isn't in this universe, for reasons that become apperant later; or, failing that, is definately not part of the Zodiac). So, Divergent Timeline, Alternate Universe, Fusion, all that happy stuff.

It's wierd to think that I've never actually talked to you and have no idea what you look like. My roomie (who has lots of internet friends) tells me this is normal.

Yeah, I guess it is kinda wierd ^^; I've had Fandom Friends for so long that I mostly don't think about it now. *reflects on personal fandom history* Wow, I've come a long way.
