Fandom: Bleace/Detective Conan crossover (Bleach-centric)
Summary: Karin sees someone she recognizes
New series disclaimer: I don't own Bleach.
Fic: Familiar Faces
Karin stopped in her tracks. Yuzu cast a glance over her shoulder. "Karin? What's up?"
Karin shook her head. "Wait here a sec. I'll be right back." Dumbfounded, Yuzu watched as Karin walked off.
Quietly, Karin approached a small boy with glasses. At least, he mostly looked like a small boy with glasses; he also looked like a tall young man with sharp blue eyes. "Hey," Karin said, gruffly. The boy looked up at her. "I think what you're looking for is over there." She pointed.
Astonished, the boy's eyes followed the path set by Karin's finger. Above a park bench, a sad-eyed willowy woman sat; a chain sprouted from her heart and linked her to the wood.
As the boy trotted over to investigate, Karin returned to Yuzu's side. "What was that about?" Yuzu asked as they started walking.
Karin shrugged. "Nothing, really. Just thought I recognized someone."

The idea's been tormenting me a while now. Mostly because both of the Kurosaki sisters are about the right age to be in grade school and Conan is about the right _size_ to be in grade school, so where would it be more convenient for the two to meet? Anyway, finally bought Bleach volume 4 today (5 wasn't at the store >_<) and the Plunny decided to pounce.
What was going on (hilight to read): Karin recognized Conan as Shin'ichi Kudo. The woman by the bench had just been murdered, so of course Conan was there to solve the mystery.
Um, yeah. First ever even remotely Bleach fic. Am quite nervous about it, as apperantly, good Bleach fic is hard to find (and I don't want to fall into the category of 'bad Bleach fic' ;_; (<---terrified)).
So, um, yes. C&C appreciated much.
