Things that are late

soc_puppetIt's Sunday night. I have an 'explaining' essay due by five tomorrow. And I have no topic.
Let me rephrase that: I have several topics, the one which fits best being 'Why do people write fan fiction', but I doubt I would get around to writing it. Mostly because I don't know how to keep it from being why I write fan fiction (which, interesting though it may be, is not the point of this exersize), and I don't think I'd be able to get other people's opinions on this on time for it to actually be helpful.
Backup idea is just going on a speal about Hamilton--but one of the other girls in my class is already writing about her pet lizard, so it almost feels like a cop-out. Sigh. Will probably end up either writing that or 'Why I write fan fiction' by the time noon comes around tomorrow. I've gotten 27/30 points on both of my last essays, and neither of them had any editing to speak of at all.
In other news, why oh why are the next books of Tsubasa and xxxHolic not out yet?! That poster thing I picked up said they would be out now, but they aren't! Bah. They're probably just late--though if it's with delivering or translating, I have no idea. Either way would make sense. I mean, those dates were kinda projected a ways. Still, I want more Doumeki and Watanuki antics ;_; *misses them*

(Translation: it's been a while, so I've forgotten some of the facts.) Anyway, yanno how Sasuke's hair sticks up in the back so he looks kinda like a bird in profile? Yeah. Tengu have this thing where they keep some birdlike features when they henge. Usually it's a real bird head or just a really long nose (see Konoha Tengu, and boy did that name ever throw me for a loop!), but sometimes it's just a birdlike shadow. We'll throw in several facts, including that Tengu are supposed to be martial arts masters and are really proud and arrogant and stuff. Plus, some Tengu are said to be former priests who became too worldly or something. They have a tendancy to play tricks on really arrogant samurai and priests and so forth. They're also said to be the teachers of a really famous swordsman and responsible for bringing martial arts and stuff to humans. Add in the fact that when I was in Pennsylvania once, visiting my family, I saw a fox being mobbed by some crows, and the crack theory has taken root.
Anyway, Sasuke's barging in on the AU for the sake of sticking the Tengu crack theory in, and is busy telling me the story of how humans learned all this ninja stuff.
