Three years ago a bunch of people were killed in a terrible incident. A nation pulled together in a time of tragedy. Mistakes were made. People were hurt. There was a lot of fear all around, but the nation seemed to do okay.
Two years ago the nation remembered the tragedy, and was very vocal about doing so. More mistakes were made. More chances were taken. The hurt hadn't really stopped.
One year ago the nation forgot. It was rather adament about forgetting. 'Go on with your normal lives,' seemed to be the general concensus.
This year the nation remembered again.
I'm not sure whether I'm more annoyed that people are suddenly making a big deal of 9/11 this year when they all but ignored it last year, or that the only reason they seem to be doing so is the f*cking presidential election.
Man, people are sick >_<.
