Most Depressing Day
Jan. 24th, 2005 08:36 pmSo, for supposedly being the most depressing day of the year, today was pretty good.
(To pre-empt the obvious question, "Why was today supposedly the most depressing day of the year?": according to Dad (who probably heard it on the radio), there were these math people who got together and created a formula for finding the most depressing day of the year; factors were such things as 'time until payday', 'day of the week', 'time since/until Christmas', and 'amount of sunlight'. Today won. I, for one, can think of more depressing days. (November third of last year comes to mind.))
Moving right along, our newest project for Video Production is either a commercial or stop-motion animation (or, for the ambitious, both). I've opted for the latter. I thought briefly about doing something with Pocky, just because, but couldn't think of a plot. Instead, I'm doing something short, which I call "Matchstick Man meets the Pebble People".
It's how Matchstick Man goes to a far-off country to educate the local natives, the Pebble People, on how to live better/more efficiently. First he teaches them how to hunt, then they go hunt and take down the Very Delicious Beast. Then the lighter doesn't work. While Matchstick Man tries to work out what the problem is, the Pebble People confer amongst themselves, then attack Matchstick Man, light him up, and roast the carcas of the Very Delicious Beast over his body <3.
I'm quite fond of the Pebble People, though I'm still trying to figure out which of the characters constitutes as Villian/Antagonist and which constitutes as Hero/Protagonist.
On Sunday, this happened:
Me: I think I'll wander by FF.net.
FF.net: Sorry, I've decided not to work for you just now ^_^
Me: @#$%!#@%#. I guess I'll use this as an opportunity to figure out how the memory system on Livejournal works...
So, all fics are now in memories. Communications has its own category in addition to being in the general 'fanfic' one, just to be redundant.
It's also revealed to me that, while December was quite productive for me, January has not been. That, and I haven't posted a new part of Communications since November >_<. (This is, in part, because I cannot seem to be satisfied with the next installment, and have already gone through more drafts than I care to think about.) I'm going to do what I can to change this.
Fandom thing: I'm officially making my fandom!Hakuba at least part Irish. Yes, I am quite aware of how famously Englishmen and Irishmen have gotten on in the past, thank you; I'm still doing it. I blame the American Wakes and 'The Rocky Road to Dublin', because they remind me of him. Also, apperantly Ireland is part of the Brittish Isles, which I did not know before last summer.
Final note: Alchemical Twister would either be the best or worst game ever.
