Okay, you. Stop what you're doing and go to this site right now: http://www.thebreastcancersite.com
Click the button on the main page. When you do, money will be donated to help provide free mammograms for women who can't afford them. In October, the rate is apperantly triple what it usually is. I know this is a topic that is important to many of us, so I urge you all to go click now. And tomorrow. And whenever you can, really. (Also, it's supposedly a 'per computer' thing, so if you've got access to other computers, don't be afraid to use them, too!) Go. Click. Support a good cause.

So, I was talking to one of my dad's friends the other day (that is, two weeks ago, give or take), and he was going on and on about DeviantArt and how I should join. I can't say I've had much experience with it, but he seemed enthusiastic, and it doesn't look too bad.Well, aside from striking me as being the FF.net of the art world, but then again, not much experience. Half of it is reports of stolen art. So, those of you who would know better than I do, what's it like there? Enviornment, restrictions, etc. Good place to be, have you found? Good 'community' feel? (For the record, I heard of FF.net a long time before I actually decided to go take a look around there. It was probably for the best, considering which fandom I was in at the time and which way my tastes ran ^^;) Anyway, I'm saying I want a sense of how this place works before I jump right in. I'll probably take a while before I actually decide to act on it, but I'm actually saying something about it on LJ, so chances are if I get even a little feedback on it that I'll look into things before the week is out. That's way shorter than it took me to get an LJ.
