Just got back from being looked at about half an hour ago. My tailbone is either bruised or broken, and the difference is about one week's worth of pain (with the bruise lasting about a week and the break lasting about two) so the doctor who checked me out decided not to have me x-rayed. Considering the circumstances (I'll find out anyway, and it's right in the area of my reproductive organs), I rather appreciate it. The doctor also said that the second twenty-four hours are about the worst pain-wise, so I'm in for a bit of a trip.
Thankfully, I was given some nice pills before I left. I'm supposed to take one every six hours and not take Tylenol with it (though ibuprofen is okay). Once I run out, I should switch to 600 mg of ibuprofen every six hours, which should help with the pain. It still isn't pleasant, but hopefully my body will be fooled into thinking it's not that bad ¦D Other than that, no particularly special accomidations. Unless you count Dad saying he'll let up a little on the chores tomorrow.
Of course, I wouldn't object to anyone spoiling me or anything, just to make the pain more bearable, but considering how long it's been since I've actually managed to do the same, I'm not expecting it.
Here's to sitting, and hoping I'll be able to do it more comfortably very soon!
