Mostly babble
Aug. 18th, 2006 11:56 amOkay, I think I'm finally mostly caught up on ficcage. Or at least have a good amount that I can read at my leasure. So that means I have time to catch up on other things! Hopefully. (I do not hold out much hope for CFUD, alas ;_;)
Anyway. Planning to go see Snakes on a Plane with Tomas this afternoon :D Which, being the cultural rock-underside-dweller that I am, I didn't actually find out about until a few months ago, while the rest of the internet was up in arms about it, but whatever. Better late than never. If I come in raving about it tomorrow, I promise I'll spoiler cut. Ditto if I come in disappointed.
Am more than halfway done with the next Communications chapter. May actually be able to finish it and start typing tonight, but I'm not holding my breath. Part of this is because I may be going to a Wake Up Wal-Mart meeting thing this evening, which I was just handed a flyer for by Joe. Which I kinda know nothing about, but it's for a good cause, I think? And it has free food. I can't complain about that. Dad would probably know more about it than I would.
Am vaguely desperate to re-read the entirety of Naruto, but especially the Sasuke-inna-barrel arcso I can work on that stupid Naruto/Princess Bride crossover, shut up. So, uh, if any of my IRL friends have it on their computer, could I beg a copy? Or even non-IRL friends, if you're up to it. I don't think it's very realistic for me to hope to download or read it online with my current internet situation. I'd offer to trade fic or art, but I don't know that I'd be able to keep up my end of the deal. I could still offer, I guess.
....I also seem to have missed my own LJ two-year anniversary this year. Go me! Again, not that I could've offered much, but I at least could've said some stuff. Like my (meager) LJ accomplishments! Magical Girl Icka! A few fics! Lurker Day! Various CFUD comments! At least 40 friends (not counting various writing journals), which is a number I never expected to actually make. And you are all very awesome people ;)
Oh yeah, speaking of Lurker Day, I'm thinking of making it permanantly on March 2nd. And possibly extending it for a whole weekend next year, since I think it falls on one? Any thoughts? I've also given a little thought to permanantly extending it (making it always the first week/end in March or something) or making it at least biannual, though I'm less sold on more than that. Opinions, anyone?
