A better tomorrow through rat chatter
Jan. 12th, 2007 03:52 pmYou know, it's surprising how much having a pair of adolescent male rats play-wrestling inside your shirt on top of your chest shelving can cheer you up. Or at least, it is to me. The rest of you might not be so amazed. Or, for that matter, inclined to let rats climb into your shirt, much less scuffle there. Or chew on your bra straps. Anyway, feeling much better than yesterday, and I think that might be why.
Decided to compromise with myself, and took the wheel out of the cage for the night so I could sleep. This left me to deal with minor squeekings and shufflings, but since I had to deal with a pair of parakeets for a number of years, this wasn't too new to me. I'll be moving the wheel back in when I get home this afternoon, and then probably out again when I go to bed. I think it'll work that way, and I won't have to move the cage out of my room.
Due to the two abovementioned things, I was feeling particularly generous to my rats today, and thus got to work on turning a number of cheap-o fleece scarves into some new bedding for them. Hope they like it. And also that they don't decide to dig it up from the top shelf and use it for nesting material, but whatever. I need to wash their current bedding anyway. *improvised with bandanas last time, as covering the entire 2' x 2' floor with litter didn't seem like a good idea for very long* Hopefully they'll decide on a corner to use as a latrine soon, and then consent to using a litter box (improvised or not), but if not, I'm pretty sure I can live with what I've got cloth-wise.
In other news, I beat the MegaUpload system >D I just had to start new downloads before the old ones were finished, and then I didn't get yelled at for downloading more than 300 megs in one sitting!Mmmm, Deadpool... Ah, the joys of getting my way in small matters...
Edit: Good gravy, it is just plain fun to mess with Phoenix Wright's head.
Edit 2: Someone help me please. JD (of Scrubs) hasn't even shown up in CFUD yet (AFAIK), and I'm already trying to ship him with George (of Dead Like Me) DD: This is Not Good.
