I just love that "new president" smell, don't you?

Okay. Officially. I owe you guys a nice detailed entry about how I woke up yesterday morning and completely unconsciously thought about race and its potential place in a story I want to write one day; read a lot of essays on basically that same issue with no original intent to do so; finally realized that, hey, it's MLK Day!, and wow, does that put an actual interesting spin on what I've been doing since six this morning; a stop back by the whole Avatar casting issue now that I feel the impact more; and possibly even what I think all my thinking is going to mean for my story.

I also owe myself an actual watching of the inauguration, because I am a bum and did not know it was starting at noon an hour east of where I am, and I kinda wanna watch the whole thing in one sitting rather than starting part way through, which is what I would've done when I finally found out it was on (thank you, f'list -_-a).

But right now, I promised myself I would treat myself the Daily Show live special tonight, no matter how early I have to get up in the morning (and God, I just had to get a new student assigned to my route today, didn't I? >_<), so that's what I'm going to do.
