In other news...
Feb. 27th, 2012 08:05 pmI finally finished transcribing the pattern for the European-style dragon, woo-hoo! (You may recall this dragon from here, here, or here.) Since I actually want to make money off of this pattern, I was hoping to get a few beta testers to run through it and tell me where I need to change anything.
Material Requirements:
Crochet hook for gauge of 4 double crochet per inch/2.5 cm (I used 5.0 mm/size H)
~350 yards worsted weight yarn
Scissors
Tapestry/yarn needle
Stuffing
Stitch markers (a scrap of contrasting yarn works fine)
One pair 15mm plastic eyes (optional)
Optional (for wings):
~3 feet/1 meter wire
Wire cutters
Needle-nose pliers
Knowledge Requirements:
Crocheting in the round [spiral]
Single crochet (sc)
Double crochet (dc)
Triple crochet (tc)
Slip stitch (sl st)
Front loop crochet (fl [stitch])
Increasing ([stitch] 2 in 1)
Decreasing [double crochet] ([stitch] 2 tog)
US stitch names
This is an INTERMEDIATE to ADVANCED pattern and, like many of my more recent patterns at
hooked_on_anime, is mostly double-crochet. If you're still interested - which, gosh, I hope at least one or two of you are! - reply* here [on Dreamwidth] and we can work out the details of me getting the pattern to you. In the unlikely event that a lot of you are still interested, I guess I'm drawing the line at the first five to reply? I think that's reasonable. If you reply after that, you can be first in line to test the griffin or Asian-style dragon patterns when I get them done or something.
Thanks! ♥
* Sorry to put this right on the tail of turning anon commenting off, Anonymice; OpenID is still okay to use, though, and account creation is still open on Dreamwidth, I'm pretty sure, so you should still have a few options.
