soc_puppet: Marceline the Vampire Queen [Adventure Time] drinks red from a dreamsheep (Dreamsheep Drinking Game)
Oh wow, I was so productive today. SO productive. The most productive. The productiveist, even. (Shut up, I can pretend it's a word if I want.)

I got a whole bunch of stuff rolling for AI accessibility and am ultra pleased with how things are going so far. I've got a department e-mail address, I'm going to have a special thread in the forum that'll be announced on the header and on the main web page (as soon as I get the first post up), I've arranged to make an announcement in Opening Ceremonies, large print program books are moving right along, I've got a volunteering possibility for low-sighted/blind attendees, and I've even got a Quiet Room in the works! And possibly more, but that's all I can remember at the moment. I mean, there's still a bunch of stuff for me to do, even after all of that, but I'm feeling pretty great about what I've got so far, and I know I'll do even better next year.

Now if only I could finally cut the umbilical cord on Registration. Hopefully someone'll step up to the task of shadowing me to take over for next year, because I would absolutely love to do Accessibility 24/3. Until then, I guess I'll be attempting to juggle the two jobs on my own and doing my best to keep from needing to cry into a pillow. Mayhap I should bring my lorazepam to take at the con...

Possible full update on today later. For now, sleep.

Edit: ...I think I may have used too many spoons yesterday. As in, I borrowed some from today. I may require a nap later. And an ibuprofen now. (I'd do both now, but I still have work to finish for Accessibility. At least it's not very much work?)

Edit 2: ACCESSIBILITY DEPARTMENT LAUNCHED, hell yeah! More evidence of launching will be found shortly, but for now I've got a thread up in Convention Discussion: Misc at our forums and an e-mail address for the department, so I'm thinking that it may be nap time :3b

(Yes, I do know that they're called "projects" and not "departments" anymore, but I'm quite wary of actually calling it the Accessibility Project, especially in official announcements, which tend to be made in the "royal we". Department is better for the initial announcement, at the very least. If I need to justify my decision to the execs, well, I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.)
