1) Cloves
I have recently pinned down that I don't like them! The reason I don't like Old Spice products? Cloves. The reason I don't like a lot of US Chai blends? Cloves. The reason I really despise mulled cider? Cloves. The reason I am only fond of pumpkin pie rather than head-over-heels? Cloves. (Probably.)
Guess what Dad decided to season the Xmas ham with this year. No, go on, guess.
I'll give you a hint: The only reason I ever associate it with the word "love" is because that's how it's spelled.
2) AO3 tags
A tag I would really love to see get more use (any use?) on AO3 is "Unrelated Oneshots". For those random, unconnected, self-contained stories that authors label as a series because they have a common theme or origin or something. I just like to be able to tell at a glance whether I'll be starting in the middle of an actual continuity or if I don't have to worry about things like that.
Damn well better believe I'mma label that shit if I ever get around to doing anything of the sort. Which I may, because linencraft fic plunnies. In multiple fandoms, even. Needs moar crochet, dammit! (And I also may have the tiniest plunny for Darcy learning naalbinding, because Scandinavian and also apparently useless bits of thread with knots in are traditional offerings to Loki?)
Anyway.
3) Rats
My dad picked up some wheat and barley grass (still growing) from one of the places he does Table-to-Table for and decided to gift it to my rats. Right now, Dangerous Beans is thoroughly invested in tearing it to itty bitty pieces so he can get to the delicious seeds at the bottom. Meanwhile, the Amazing Maurice is chillaxing in the tube hammock by the top floor. "Wev, dude," he says. Though he adds that if I would like to take him out to EXPLORE ALL THE THINGS, he would totally be game for that.
