soc_puppet: Drawing of a smiling fish skeleton (Icthyology)
Aaarrrrgh, AnimeIowa is this weekend, and I'm not reeeaaadyyyyyyy!

Finished painting one lantern (a phoenix one, which looks pretty good), and got a couple things together to offer for the charity auction. I think I can finish my Kyogre scarf on time, and maybe even a Groudon hat and Rayquaza mittens to match - maybe, maybe, hopefully! I just dumped a bunch of money on new yarn, because Michael's was/is having a sale: $2.50 a skein for Charisma (probably my favorite chunky weight yarn, though I wish it came in more colors), which normally costs more like $4.50, and then an additional 20% off from 4-7pm, so of course I stocked up. And earlier in the week I ordered a whole bunch more plastic eyes, since I'm basically out of 12mm - something I really didn't expect, considering I was practically swimming in them for a while when I was still regularly making mini-Squiddles. (Remembering that I can't sell them just makes me sad.)

I also bought a bunch of convention-related stuff that I'm looking to be reimbursed for: blue gaffer's tape (FINALLY), which should arrive on time, the supplies to make more "Use the Mic" signs (the sticker paper is on order and should arrive in the next two days), and a bunch of hand sanitizer (set to arrive on SATURDAY, even though I ordered it, like, last Thursday, SIGH). I'll probably have to go out and physically buy more hand sanitizer from the Dollar Tree, so we have some for when the convention opens, but that's better than not having any.

I still need to figure out some food-related things, since I'm staying at the hotel this year. I'll be eating three-ish meals provided by the convention itself, and plan to raid the Recharge Room if I can, but I probably shouldn't rely on those. Oh, that reminds me; I said I'd bake gluten-free bread for our gluten-intolerant staffers. I need to make sure I do that in an appropriately timely manner.

Lessee, I also need to print out a bunch more business cards, and actually assemble the "Use the Mic" signs (or at least partly assemble); I need to add tags to a bunch of my merchandise still for the staff art table; I need to fill out the paperwork so I can actually sell stuff at the staff art table; plus any packing I still need to do before the con. (I hope I don't regret staying at the hotel; I've taken shameless advantage of my ability to commute to the convention the past five (six?) years and am not entirely sure what I'll do this year.) Oh, and I'll be working the next three days as well, but I've got the Thursday before the con off, and I assume the convention and the Monday after off as well, since that's what I applied for.

Bluh. It's gonna be a rough week.
