May. 3rd, 2016 09:34 pmSo I thought I had crafting tonight, only it turns out I was reading Steve's text message from last week instead of this week, because he hasn't sent one for this week yet. Which means no crafting tonight actually, but probably tomorrow. Also, it can definitely be All Steve's Fault, which is nice.
Deciding to make the most of my trip out of the house, I stopped by Hy-Vee on the way back and sorted through almost all of the DVDs on their "Movies U Buy!!!!!elevety!" kiosk. After some debate, I decided that yes, I was going to spend the extra dollar to get The Pebble and the Penguin packaged with Once Upon A Forest, rather than just buying the latter, because who doesn't need more terrible penguin movies in their life? (I re-watched it less than ten years ago; it definitely didn't live up to my nostalgia.) I'm especially looking forward to re-watching Once Upon A Forest, because I submitted it as a suggestion to Sistertime, and it was accepted! Also of the three main characters, the leader character is a girl, which is super cool and not something you find often in movies - well, ever, let alone of that era.
My other purchases were a two-pack of Thumbelina and Anastasia, because why not, and the first four episodes of something called Slug Terra (SlugTerra?) that looks delightfully awful. I'm looking forward to watching that as well.
Oh, and my dad found a DVD copy of The Pagemaster at a garage sale, so add that to the nostalgia pile as well. My childhood! It is on DVD!
