Fuuuuuuuck
Feb. 8th, 2018 06:08 pmGood News: Since I'm opening tomorrow and the weather is Terrible with snow Everywhere, my boss got me a room for the night so I don't have to drive through it at absurd o'clock in the morning :)
Bad News: My boss had originally been going to join me for dinner at the restaurant, but will be tied up in her office instead. She said she's still paying for my meal, and has suggested that I call for room service. There is no other anxious person here for me to pull the Mom Friend Anxiety Override for, and eating alone in the restaurant is only slightly less awkward than having to make a phone call.
I'm either going to have to Mom Friend Anxiety Override myself into this, or eat the chocolate-pretzel bars I bought for breakfast tomorrow morning (since I'm going to need to be up and moving before the restaurant opens).
Edit: I just realized that I dressed up fancy to go to the restaurant, because it's Expected of employees. I could be wearing jeans and a t-shirt right now, but noooooo, I'm wearing slacks and a nice shirt with my hair all nice up instead. I should change right into my PJs and order by phone.Horrible, horrible, terrible phone.
Edit 2: Is it bad when you work in a hotel and have never even overheard someone order room service in real life?WHERE IS MY SOCIAL SCRIPT, I DEMAND A SOCIAL SCRIPT.
Edit 3: Food successfully ordered. I will have pretzel bars to eat for breakfast tomorrow, hooray!
