Nov. 18th, 2021 11:26 pmThe hotel is doing a significant amount of pre-ordered Thanksgiving meals again this year, and I'll be "in charge" of shaping dinner rolls again. Aside from the availability of working Covid vaccines and the derecho being long past, there are two major improvements over last year:
1) We're only making 1,000 rolls this year, not 1,600
2) I don't have to fucking cloverleaf any of them
I also volunteered to work on Thanksgiving, which, if I understand correctly, will basically amount to me showing up and making sure we're not out of anything, and then I can leave—with any extra pies and/or dinner rolls we haven't sold by then! My family's having dinner at six, so I said that I'd be good to work as long as I could be out by five, and this definitely has me covered.
