Classes have started again at work. The first few days with students back after the summer are always a bit of an adjustment, but pretty much everyone who works in the bakery agrees, this particular batch of students is a bit rowdier than usual! Between that and the heat, I ended up super drained in the late afternoon; I may have had lunch around 1:00pm, and a delicious work-sponsored ice-cream-and-waffle treat around 2:20, but come 4:00 I was still in a low-sugar fog. It took a chef instructor from the lab next door delivering fresh french fries for me to figure out that low blood sugar was my problem, and a good handful or two got my brain working much better. Still, I was happy enough to get home and drain a Gatorade and have a sandwich, and am overall feeling much better.
That said, I've also got tomorrow off, and am looking forward to a nice, relatively quiet day before I go in to work on Thursday. I'm hoping to clear a little bit more out of my room, maybe even destash a bit more of my yarn, but even if I spend most of the day just lounging around and sleeping, I'll still count that as a win.
