A change in the wind
Jan. 21st, 2024 11:44 pmThe general temperature is set to change pretty drastically by tomorrow; it's been in the single digits (Fahrenheit) and lower for at least a week (not helping my recent furnace troubles), and the weather is predicted to get just over freezing for the next week or so, starting tomorrow.
This would worry me less and delight me more if it weren't for: A) The already extant piles upon piles of snow that were dumped on us about two weeks ago (plus a more recent three-ish inches/eight-ish centimeters), and B) The additional precipitation expected over the next few days.
Honestly, it sounds like a recipe for ice and flooding, possibly at the same time, which is not a recipe whose results I much like the sound of.
Anyway, I work tomorrow, but am scheduled off the next three days after that, so it should be only one day of travel I have to worry about—if that, TBH; my boss is not afraid to tell me to stay home when travel conditions are shit. I hope it won't get to that, but I'll make the best of things if it does. Like by pushing up my schedule of relaxing, and lounging in my nice, warm house, and getting in some naps by a day or two.
