hyperlocal_politics has just opened, with an explanation of why the mod chose Dreamwidth as a host site over many other options out there. Definitely a community to keep an eye on if you want to get involved locally to combat any of the upcoming (and already started) bullshit from this administration.
I think it's implied to be US-centric, but I haven't checked with the mod. If it is, then I imagine the mod would be welcome to having sibling communities for other countries/regions/etc.
