Ponderings

So. Singles Awareness Day is coming up. On Tuesday, as a matter of fact. And while in real life I may be bitter and cynical enough to celebrate my... unattached-ness, obligation chocolate aside (and I'm going to want things for White Day!), online is (sometimes) a different story. I am, I admit, a rank sentimentalist, and feel like writing or drawing something to celebrate the spirit of the holiday. So... what should I write? :O Should I let my bitterness carry through and write a story about love gone horribly, horribly wrong? Should I let my bad sense of humor carry through and write crack (pairing) fics? Should I ignore the sentiment entirely and just write gen? Should I write something angsty yet not unromantic? (Pfft. Like I can actually see me doing that.) Should I just let fluff take over the computer? Yaoi? Yuri? Het? Familiar series or new series? Smut? Forget the writing and go for the illustrated equivalent thereof? All of the above? None of the above? Socchan, get off your lazy ass and get back to working on your WIPs? (That should probably happen anyway and stop biting me, Small Things plunny.) What?
On a different note, thanks to everyone who's expressed support and made posts about Lurker Day so far ♥ You've really brightened my life. Feel free to continue spreading the love ^__^
Edit: Sample from socchan's Spanish homework: (I am supposed to include the correct forms of tener (to have) or venir (to come) in each blank.)
8. Ines __________ con su esposo y yo __________ con Ernesto.
I'm currently leaning towards forms of venir, but that has implications I don't want to think about in conjunction with Spanish homework. It's probably just an 'in translation' thing, but still.
Also, a quote from my Comp II teacher (fun guy, but very tough: gives lots of homework; reminds me of Hartwig, but more so), to further demonstrate my RL bitterness and cynicism. I got it the best I could, but it's not quite exact. "We were just living in our country under a brutal dictator, then our liberators came and killed us."
