soc_puppet: Dreamsheep as Lumpy Space Princess from Adventure Time (*&&X%)

My brother's home from Space Camp ^___^ ...Well, technically he got back yesterday, but why should that stop me from continuing to celebrate today? He's home, he's home, he's home~! ♥ (Why yes, I do have the best little brother in the world :DDD How could you tell?) He brought me back a snowglobe. Which made me think that I should really try and bring back souvenirs for more people. *is really going to try now* But that's not the interesting part. The interesting part is that on the way home, he had an adventure :DD

The first thing you need to know is that my little brother Tomas has a collection of Miscellaneous Metal Objects. He likes to pick things up that he finds and put them in safe keeping somewhere.

The second thing you need to know is that my old high school was recently being remodeled. (I actually have no idea if they're finished yet or not ^^a) One day, Tomas found a bolt on the floor and decided to put it in his collection, so he slipped it in his backpack.

The third thing you need to know is that Tomas is not always good about remembering to take things out of his backpack, or to put them in there in the first place (a trait we share ^^a).

When the bus Tomas was riding was about fifteen minutes from home, they had to pull over because the cooling system broke down. Apperantly, one of the bolts was gone, and the driver was going to have to call for a replacement, which would take several hours to arrive. No one particularly wanted to be delayed, especially with how close to home they were, but they thought it couldn't be helped. Then Tomas remembered the bolt in his backpack. He pulled it out and asked if it would work. Lo and behold, it did! The bus was fixed and was started up again, and Tomas arrived back home safe and sound and far sooner than if he had not had the bolt with him ^___^

And that's my little brother's adventure ♥ I should make a kids' book out of it or something.

...Okay, now I'm going to talk about me again ¦D;;

I had a pretty good day today ^_^ Part of this had to be because, even though I did have to get up at 8:30 (when normally I'm not found out of bed before noon, give or take half an hour), I got some real quality sleep last night. The good stuff, where I feel really rested afterwards.

Went to the early (9:00) mass instead of the usuall 11:00 because Mom and I had a Quire concert in the afternoon that we had to leave at 11:30 for; we were performing for a wedding of one of the members. We managed to arrive around 12:40 (we would've been there sooner were it not for lousy somewhat confusing directions) and get some songs practiced. The weather was very nice, thankfully, and we didn't have to stand while we waited to do each song; we only had two in the actual ceremony, and then one at the party afterwards. (The sky was partly cloudy and, at one point, drizzle was carried from one of the clouds to the sunny area where the seating was. I spent a few minutes wondering to myself which one of the brides would be the kitsune *^^* Of course, there was a small white (loud) dog there, but I still kept my eyes open for tails and odd shadows ^_~)

The party lasted a few hours. The food was very good, even though it lacked a vegetarian main course, and the company was great. After we sang our number and the band played a few more songs, the cake was cut and the brides were toasted to. (My favorite was: "Way to go, Mom--she's hot!" XD) The cake was most excellent, and my expression of bliss lasted from the first bite all the way to the last ♥ That is how cake should be made.

Mom and I ducked out shortly afterwards and drove home; accompanying us was fellow Quire member Tristan, the only one around my age ^^a On the road, I was delighted to discover that he is actually the son of my favorite teacher in Jr. High, Mrs. Dane. I spent the rest of the trip home making little connections in the back of my mind--like "This is the son that Mrs. Dane said read(s?) to her, and does so faster aloud than she can silently." Just little bits and pieces like that. I feel like I know a whole lot more about him now ^_^ (It turns out he also lives (with his boyfriend, of course) near by. Who knew?)

All in all, I arrived home feeling very satisfied and happy ^___^

...Tristan also entertained me before practice by telling me about Shadow Hearts (Covenant). I have now been convinced to play it, based soley on the fact that leveling up (something of?) one of the characters involves looking for gay porn in game. (I had been pondering it before, but that sold me and was the icing on the cake together. Just... win. On so many levels.)

My last note is that I know we have a healthy pond out back because we have a toad living there ^_^ I'd been getting rather annoyed by its chirps yesterday, but I think that was mostly because I didn't know for sure it was an amphibian and I didn't know exactly where it was. Now I do ♥ ...Er, unless it's hopped to a different spot. But I just heard it chirp again, so it can't be too far, probably.

Edit: Also wanted to mention that I found out I will for sure be out of town when camper apps open again at CFUD. I'll be in-town for councelors, but leaving around the seventh for Alamosa, Colorado. So if you know of any anime conventions around that area and time, I'd love to hear about it/them!

GAY PORN IS JUST THE BEGINING. There's caonical gay sex, even. It is perhaps the gayest game, ever.
