soc_puppetFan blather right now, since my brain wishes to escape from reality and I wish to indulge it. May or may not have brief vacation mentions that will have more detail later.
Kiiinda went slightly Paopu-nutzo on vacation ^^a Not that this is particularly new or anything (in Socchan's brain, Paopu eats her). Long story short, it means I managed to get some 'design' work done on the flower for the report fic, which means it's that much closer to finished! I also have the last part better planned out ^_^ Happy socchan. I now have the first part finished and two planned.
But that's not all! Since my brain wasn't satisfied with that alone, it went on to outline just how the Paopu-at-the-supermarket fic should go (as well as two false starts, which I may be willing to type up if prodded) and insist that I write something along the lines of "Fifteen people who didn't eat the Paopu fruit." Except that I can't decide on the last group of three. I'm half tempted to cut it right down to nine anyway, but then I'd be even more tempted to trim it to six (my OT3 and my other OT3 ^^a).
There's also this thing where Linn had some issues with Kairi at the end of KHII, and her issues were different from mine but made sense when I thought about them, and eventually kinda resolved mine vaguely. (I kinda didn't comment on it at the time since I am quite fond of Kairi and didn't think I had enough distance from it and stuff ^^;;; And plus it took me a whiel to reason stuff out.) Now I wanna write a quick little fic that vaguely rationalizes things to my liking and possibly provides a teensy bit of a reasonable explanation for Linn as well.
And, since I'm on a Kairi kick already, and because of CFUD and it makes sense, I at least want to mention in a fic somewhere Kairi surfing and being really kickass at it. Because she so would be. I've already been trying like hell to draw it, and more or less completely failing at it ¦D;;; And I wanna draw my OT3's boards propped up in the sand while I'm at it. Kairi's would be all flowery and colorful and maybe have a wave on it and stuff. Sora's would probably be pretty basic with an outline and a crown at the top. Riku's I'm a bit stumped on and am thinking maybe (a) dragon(s)? All three would have the owner's name on 'em. Sadly, I suck at both drawing surfboards and coloring, so it'll probably never happen to my satisfaction =_=
...Speaking of my Kairi kick, two fics that I would love to see are
a) Kairi during her stay in Traverse Town in the first game
b) Riku/Kairi fic (possibly Riku/Kairi → Sora (meaning Riku/Kairi starting before the OT3 forming but leaning that way)), becauseit screws over the rest of the fandom in so many happy ways and I happen to be rather fond of the two of them. And not just because I have the evil desire to draw a picture of Kairi and Riku on the beach with a fresh Paopu between them that I would call "Kairi and the fruit(s)."
Anyway, I swear to (figure of authority here) that I'm going to request one or both of these of someone someday.And probably (also?) end up writing them myself.
Next up, Communications (my long DC/MK divergence fic, for those of you who have forgotten itin the six months since my last update, sob ;_; or didn't know about it). It's been... vaguely nibbling at me. I think I might be able to come up with something I'm happy with for the next chapter-thing. Maybe. Who knows. And then hope to go from there.
...Yeah, Avatar stuff. First the bitching.
I am mostly annoyed that they billed the two new episodes as a movie. Since I initially missed the first one and the first five minutes of the second one due to being on the road, I was quite annoyed at the notion that this 'movie' would not be self-contained. But that really circles back to my annoyance at general bad movie advertisement. Hell, I didn't even find out that it wasn't actually a movie and was, instead, just two episodes shown at once until I got back home and checked the places I lurk. I have a consistant annoyance, though, that all of the advertisement for it was for the first half/first episode, and none at all for the second. All I really want is some clarity in advertisment DD: (I'd ask for consistancy, but I'm afraid I would only end up with consistant badness.)
Advertisment bitching out of the way, the know-it-all in me that stole my astronomy knowledge for her own purposes was vaguely annoyed at the tactical issues involved in relying on a solar eclipse. Due to the nature of it, a solar eclipse doesn't last for very long, or have a very wise range. However, I've decided to just pretend that the moon is both larger in that world, and proportionally farther away, which I think might work? And if it doesn't, then either tell me a way that would work, or don't tell me at all.
And now, the not-bitching stuff! Toph is still many kinds of awesome. Also, Toph versus King Bumi: Ultimate earthbending showdown of ultimate earthbending destiny, Y/N? (We need both at CFUD, by the way. Well, last I was aware at any rate. (I may eventually attempt to app her.)) I am still incredibly fond of the animals.
Also, that whole game secret society thing? FULL OF AWESOME. Just sayin'. And I demand a playable version of that game as of yesterday. Still waiting for the secret society to turn out to be even dorkier than its members. And it makes me miss playing mah jong with GAME Club ;_;
And now, some random Bible!Fic thoughts. Because I started thinking (or not thinking, depending on your interpretation) in church again. Because it was early and I was tired. Anyway.
Seriously, the gospel today was how Jesus sent the apostles (his desciples? Bah, who cares, I stopped paying attention after too long anyway) out in pairs with only a) their sandals, b) one set of clothing, and c) a staff each, and they were given three missions: to heal the sick, to drive out demons, and to preach the Word. And I just kinda sat there and thought, "He's sending them out in groups of two to preach, heal or exorsize for their supper?!" and the ludicrous ideas that followed. Possibly this was influenced by both seasons of the original Hitch-Hiker radio play. I really don't know.
No real identities are assigned to these two, as that might involve actually reading canon* to find out more about characterization. So just assume it's two random apostles/desciples.
* Hah! I used the word as it was originally intended! Take that, universe!

"No. An' by the way, thoze were muh teef."

"I'm thirsty. Why don't you turn some water into wine?"
"What? It's your turn, isn't it?"
"Well yes, if you want grape juice."
"That's fine; we'll leave it in a cellar for thirty years and drink it then."
"Well, it beats actually drinking the water, that's for sure."

[in a town somewhere]
"Demon, I cast thee out!"
"Oh sure, cast me out already. Don't even get to know me even."
"...I thought that was the point, though. You're troubling humanity, we're supposed to cast you out to where you were and can't do any more damage."
"But how do you know I'm really such a bad guy? Maybe I'm being framed! Maybe I'm plaguing this person because he's really supposed to be a mass murderer or something! How would you know if you just cast me out without asking me?"
"Well, are you?"
"Technically no, but--"
"Very well then. Good-bye!"
"Bugger." [screams of anguish]

I'm sure there's more, but it's slipped my mind at the moment. Plus, I didn't write it all down when I was originally talking it over with Mom. Think I got all the main points, though.
I think that's everything for now? I may add more later. Or maybe just make a new post or something.
