Yeah, so, how 'bout that political system? Pretty [adjective], huh? ...Can you tell that I know essentially nothing about the results? And, uh, recent events in general? (I know Rumsfield is out (though not how to spell his name), thanks to my Children's Lit teacher, and we've got a new Speaker for the House, which means Democrat majority there, but other than that? Nada. Zip. Zilch. I don't even know who our govener is -_-a) Yeah. How obvious is it?
candy__chan, wrrrrryyyy am I never on at the same time as you? Unless I happen to be now, in which case, talk to me! Need to poke you about something possibly. Depending on stuff. Like how free you are in May. And what sorts of transportation you('ll) have at your disposal. And stuff.
In other news, the ad I designed for the Quire's winter concert is going to go in the newspaper sometime soon. And the flyer will be going out shortly as well. A really colorful version is up on the website. And I'm trying not to freak out about it. (On the one hand, my work is going to be seen by hundreds, if not thousands, of people! On the other hand, my work is going to be seen by hundreds, if not thousands, of people. ...Yeah. Freaky.)
Think that's it for today. Except that I wanna make a new t-shirt soon. (Possibly I'll just do that Ash Milk one, only not burn it this time. And also the family crest shirts for Dad while I'm at it.) And also, I hope to have a new icon up tomorrow, that is completely not my fault. Instead, it is CLAMP's fault. I just colored the art in. And added a little new text, but really, the coloring in might well have been enough had the word bubble not been annoyingly placed/large. Anyway, crack. Also, laundary.

Date: 2006-11-09 04:08 am (UTC)Haha, it's Donald Rumsfeld. ^-^;;; I agree, I hate politics. :/ My adjectives for that are "boring" and "corrupt". :/

Date: 2006-11-09 04:12 am (UTC)Chet Culver is our new governor. Solid win for the Democrats--they won the House of Representatives by a fairly wide margin. They just broke the story that the Democrats now control the Senate. They have full control of Capitol Hill. AND RUMSFELD IS GOOOONE!!
In May? Hmmm...well, depends on when in May. I'll be student-teaching next semester, so part of my schedule will depend on whatever they have going on. And then I graduate from college *cheers* So I'm pretty sure I'll have the last week or so of May more or less free =D ...I have a car ♥

I... was actually kinda hoping to steal you from 11-13 for Anime Central :D;; See, a friend of mine is hoping to fill up her hotel room a little more, and it was the first thing I thought of. Her only major concern is whether you can be trusted around other people's stuff (which I bring up because I don't know what 'tact' is - I'm fairly certain it's something you stick papers to walls with)(also, while I'm pretty sure I can, it's good to check (see aforementioned lack of tact), so can you?), and whether you'll pay for your share of the room, so. Um. Thoughts? Opinions? Ability to get away from school over a friday? Alternately, I may have to ask you when your spring break is, 'cuz I wanna go to a convention with you DD:
...Wow, that middle bit was convoluted. I probably should've broken it up into more sentences or something.

Oh, that sounds like fun! I honestly won't know for a while what my schedule's looking like in May. RAR ON THEM NOT GETTING US OUR PLACEMENTS!! RAR, I SAY!! Spring break...pretty much the same. It'll all depend on where I'm student teaching, and I know I'll have a certain number of days where I can sneak away, but I can't remember how many days that is. *sigh* So much up in the air until I get this information...
But oooooh, I do wanna goooo...where is Anime Central, 'xactly? And how much would the hotel room be? If I do/can go, I'd definitely pay for my part of the room. I'm not a freeloader XD And I promise you that I am trustworthy around other people's things.

Anime Central = in Chicago, so it's quite a drive/ride/whatever. Pre-reg is still $30 until 11/17; after that, it'll go up (though to what, I'm not sure). The room is apparently on the top floor, so probably fairly expensive, but since the cost will be split it'll be lower. The more people, the lower it gets, but how many people my friend would allow is something I'm still not sure about ^^a I'll have to ask about the price for three/four people. Also, yay trustworthyness! :DD
Anyway, you have until late March (or early April at the very latest) to let her know whether you want to crash with us or not, so you have a little time to find out.

Date: 2006-11-10 02:51 am (UTC)Chicago...that's about an eight and a half hour drive from my hometown (Sioux City, yo!). I should know my placement before Thanksgiving. But I should more or less know my schedule well before March. I hope >.> But the minute I know for sure, I will let you know =D
...gah, now I'm going to be all paranoid that if I do get to go, I'll get nervous and start babbling and everyone will think I am teh idiot. That has a bad tendency to happen with me... *nervous nervous*

Date: 2006-11-10 03:15 am (UTC)Sounds good :) I still kinda have to figure out how I'm getting there myself, actually.
It happens ;) I'm sure they'll just think you're another fangirl, and thus you'll be in Good Company ♥

Date: 2006-11-09 05:19 am (UTC)Not knowing is one thing. Not caring is another. The local news was all "Incumbent Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger won by 64%... Democrats won the House... OMG BRITNEY IS DIVORCING KEVIN FEDERLINE!!!"
Apparently, as Californians, we care more about Hollywood then our state or country's political moves.
In lighter news, congrats on your ad!

Date: 2006-11-10 01:27 am (UTC)DD: Alas. He was never my favorite. ...Er, Schwarzenegger, that is. I can't say I have an opinion on the other guy, seeing as I never really learned his name.
Thanks ^_^ Maybe I'll stick a version of it up here someday...
