RIP, Hamilton
Dec. 23rd, 2006 03:50 pmOn Friday morning, when Mom went to feed him, Hamilton attacked her. This was not entirely unusual, since he was in his (mating) season, which makes him more aggressive. Mom had an old coat hood that she would pull over his face to fend him off/keep him from biting her, but he ended up biting her through the hood hard enough to draw blood. Since he was attacking Mom every time she tried to feed him/change his water, and since he was too aggressive/wild for her to think about giving him to someone else, Mom made the decision to have him put down. The vet agreed that it was the best choice.
So, here's to you Hamilton, wherever you are now. We did the best we could by you, but you were too much of a wild animal. I hope you have a nice sunny branch and lots of squash to eat, wherever you are now.
