Arrival in Texas

Have arrived in Sherman stop. Have managed to secure internet connection via Grandpa's computer stop. Have Mom's encouragement to stay on as long as I like stop. Also have Mom's permission to find out IF THERE'S ANYONE ON MY F'LIST IN TEXAS IN THE AREA I WILL BE IN FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS (Huston, mostly, can maybe manage something on the way in/out of Sherman), CAN I POSSIBLY DROP IN ON YOU OR SOMETHING stop. Alternately, if anyone actually knows the area or somewhere relatively nearby, can you possibly rec places like bookstores or similar that you think I might find cool stop.

Not really ^^a I can't say I know the area at all, so I'll probably end up asking Mom. It does help to know what area you're in better :O And I won't be sure whether or not it's too far out of the way until I ask, so! I shall do so.

Well, Fort Worth is... hmm, about 40 min to an hour's drive west of Dallas, with Arlington just about between the two large cities. They're having a Hatshepsut Exhibit at Fort Worth's Kimbell Art Museum, so if you're interested in that, I would definitely suggest that as a good place to meet :D (costs a bit to get into the exhibit, think about $10?)

Yay! *happydance* :D Yes it would definitely be an okay meeting time :D (Museum's open till five, even ^_^ ) Lemme know when to meet you, though worst case I'll show up at two and poke around the exhibit until you arrive. Also, we can exchange tips on how to recognize each other XD;; I'll probably break out my neon-yellow Wufei Chang t-shirt, that one tends to be easy to pick out *g*

Okay, here's the thing. My uncle Stephen is currently in jail. Mom doesn't get a lot of chances to see him. Since we'd be heading back through McKinney, where he's situated at the moment, Mom wanted to visit him. Apparently, his current facility is really strict about visitors. Mom had to ask to set up an appointment, and because it's unusual circumstances, she's allowed to see him even though she's not on the visitor list. Problem is, the appointment is from two to three in the afternoon, and the facility is something like an hour and a half away from Fort Worth. Mom thinks she might be able to change the appointment time, but that might not happen until tomorrow morning, at which point it may or may not be too late to leave early instead (which Mom doesn't want to do anyway, as it would involve getting up at something like five-thirty in the morning).

Given current circumstances, this means I might not get into Fort Worth until four-thirty at the earliest. Five o'clock is probably a more modest estimate, given traffic and construction and whatnot, and you said that's when the museam closes ;_; Maybe we could take a raincheck on the museam and switch it to a dinner date?

....Okay, as I was typing this, Mom came in and assured me that we would get up and head out/possibly reschedule or whatever as early as we could. SO NOW I'M NOT SURE ANYMORE, er. Maybe I could get your phone number so as to inform you of details as they happen, i.e., when we wake up and get out the door, etc. Or, uh, depending on what time the above happens, a little while down the road maybe? I dunno.

JUST IN CASE, how to recognize me:
I am 5'10" tall. I am female. I have dark hair (almost black) that goes halfway down my back and that I almost always keep in a ponytail. I wear glasses. Tomorrow I will most likely be wearing: sneakers, blue jeans, and a white T-shirt with a dark blue PacMan on it that is eyeing a brain. (It is one of my CFUD shirts; sadly, I packed little else that would be as noticeable ^^a) There is a good (90%) chance that I will be carrying a green backpack with black straps. And I think that's it.

Considering how much I just typed there, I don't know that a quick response would be even plausible to ask for, but I can start planning things as soon as I get an answer, so. Plz to let me know if worst-case-scenario dinner option would work for you!

Yoiks. @.@ Okay, uh *scrambles* Mmm, I shall email you my phone number post haste. And dinner would be fine :) If your mom knows how to get to the Kimbell, we could meet up there if it does turn out to be later. And if things kinda pile up and it turns out you can't make it, I'd be sad, but I realize that sometimes, stuff just happens. *hugs* *flits off to email*
