On jobs, cosplay, and willpower

*takes a deep breath* Okay. This is Lent. I said what I was going to do, and by golly I'm going to try my darnedest to do it! I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can...

(Though, speaking of Lent, if yesterday was Ash Wednesday, and the day before was Fat Tuesday, does that make this Lean Thursday? 'Cuz yeah. Gotta wonder.)

(On a related note, fish! Fish fish fish fish fish :DD Possibly my favorite part about Lent is the fish on Fridays ♥ Not so much with the going out to fish fries this year, as Dad is now diabetic, but still, fish! Fiiiiiish. Anyway, I can always go to J's Fish and Chips without him.)

Going to go do some looking-for-job stuff tomorrow with my Coach. Did a lot of talking about nursing homes with my psychologist on Wednesday, and agreed that it would probalby be a good job for me, or even a career. It's stable, the residents would be fairly consistent, the pay's decent, it has benefits apparently, I can go up the ladder pretty easily, and around Christmas I can always hope for Girl Scout troops to come and sing carols ♥ And possibly also Religeous Ed kids who have been bullied into it. Or maybe people aren't doing that anymore, which would be understandable, but would also kinda make me sad, so. Anyway, there would also probably be fish tanks there, which would definitely make me happy. Absolutely something to look into.

...I'm also kinda being vaguely pushed by Joan into cosplaying Tomoyo-hime at Anime Iowa :D;;; We'd be like bookends or something. Still wondering if I should blackmail my brother into dressing as Fujitaka-no-Syaoran to complete the set. Oooo, or even better, Bottled!Syaoran :DDD *evil plots go here*

DD: With a lot of art programs, it's mostly a learn-by-doing thing. Heck, that's what I did with most of Prince Ichi. I can give tips and hints, too, and direct you to a free photoediting program >>: *wants to help people do what they want to do*

I... gave up making CFUD references to/around non-fans/non-initiates ^^a This includes on my journal, since a bunch of people here don't follow CFUD.

I was going to try giving up something for Lent, even though I don't think my denomination observes it, but I couldn't think of anything in particular to give up. Besides, I'd never be able to keep it up. ^^;

As to the fish, I suppose you could always go to the nearest Catholic church and ask them where the nearest charity fish fry was being held. Er, unless that's, for some odd reason, just a local thing like Lox Boxes, which I find really strange.

Going to bed hungry sucks DD: So I almost never do it. I make sure to have some food between dinner and bed, because otherwise I'm awake too late. Not that I'm not awake too late anyway...

You're so awesome to actually give something up for Lent or maybe I'm a bad Catholic. I can only do the no meat on Friday thing. Once, I tried giving up TV Monday - Thursday back when I was a teenager. Oh yeah, nearly died.

XD I could never manage the 'no TV' thing. Never in my life. Compared to that, just not talking about CFUD around people who don't follow it is pretty small.
