On haiku fic
Mar. 24th, 2007 03:17 pmYou know what's scary? The haiku format has basically become a fic-writing cheat sheet for me. I mean, it's so much easier to find the words I want/need when I have to stick to the five-seven-five pattern! I'm half afraid I'm going to end up using it as a crutch, and half amused that wtf lol, I'm writing fic in haiku format.
Lyzz has suggested that I just continue to write it in haiku format, and then de-formatatize it before posting/publishing/whatever. Which only makes me want to write a novel in haiku, and then deformat it, and then see how long it would take before some part of the public noticed somehow that it was only written in five-seven-five syllable patterns. And I would laugh, because it would be like a secret code that hardly anyone was in on ♥ ...I also have half a mind to write comic diologue in haiku form, because that would be some sort of hilarious. And also maybe celebrate one day by speaking/typing entirely in haiku. Far too much fun it is. For the speaking at least, I'd have to think on my toes, but I suppose I can live with that. ...Also, I should maybe think about doing two-line verse day someday. Because it would also be fun. And, uh, possibly annoying, especially if I kept attempting to finish other people's sentences so they'd rhyme, a la Fezzik of The Princess Bride.
This whole conversation kinda came about as a result of me writing Lyzz some vaguely pr0n-y Kasanoda/Tetsuya (of Ouran) haiku-fic here (got eight 'verses' out of it o_O), which also spawned the conversation that apparently, there is very little written for that pairing on the net. Er, that she could find, at any rate. Which basically boggled my mind. Needs moar Yakuza loev.
On a completely different note, LJ seems to have not noticed Daylight Savings Time or something, because I keep having to account for at least one hour whenever I post lately. *should probably look up the reasoning behind DST sometime, so she isn't completely ignorant of it and can thus complain about it much more freely*

Date: 2007-03-24 08:41 pm (UTC)pollpole anyway. SOUNDS GOOD TO ME. Also, Casanova/Tetsuya might've yielded some, as I think the twins call him that for a while or something :3 And also Bossanova/Tetsuya, maybe. And there's always reversing the name order and stuff.Re PS: XD He has good comedic timing?

Lol. XD That he does.

Date: 2007-03-24 11:50 pm (UTC)LJ really hasn't noticed DST. xD It's so weird. I didn't realize what was wrong with the time for a few days, and then I was like, "Woah, what about daylight savings?"
