Stresssss

...There are a number of ways I could start this entry, but all of them would be far too emo. So I'm just going to say that, for those of you who are watching/have watched Karin (HINT HINT, THOSE WHO AREN'T, DO I NEED TO LIST REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD)? If Ren were around, I'd be a prime target for him right about now. NotFun. This close to just saying I'm sick tonight and staying home with the rats instead >: (It would probably involve copious re-watching of episodes 1x18 through 1x20 of Avatar, as I seem to be obsessed with that at the moment, and maybe some manga re-reading as well.)

French test today was... less than enjoyable. Aren't baker's dozens supposed to be fifteen and not thirteen? Is my memory wrong, or is it a cultural difference? Haaalp! Thankfully, I think my spelling (and some comprehension) was the worst of it, though I still don't expect to get much higher than 70% on this exam. Which will make my wonderful teacher sad, as I got something like a 94% on this chapter's quiz ^^a Oh, well. It's not like I was using that self-esteem anyway. Lies, I want it back! Felt much cheerier afterwards when I took a minute to contemplate my comic in progress. Nine pages in now, need at least another six to make the minimum page requirement, and I think I might make it. *finger-crossing goes here* I've gotten to the part where Samantha is being hit on in the hallway, and Claire's about to snap. I'm guessing her UST/frustration level is about a six at the moment, but it's going to just shoot up shortly. (Socchan loev Claire ♥)

So yeah. Probably going to stick it out at the lab for another hour or so, but no idea what'll happen after that. Hope I don't have to make dinner tonight...

Edit: ...It kinda hurts me inside to see that TokyoPop's homepage seems to have turned into a blog site.

It's 13. I remember because, weirdly, it is 1 more than an actual dozen.

Yeah, that's why it's called a Baker's Dozen and not a Standard Dozen.

I'm in Elementary II at the moment :3 And I'll be sure to ask sometime ^.^

A baker's dozen is when the baker (or someone comparable) gives you an extra something when you order twelve of it, only you only have to pay for the twelve. Basically, it's treated as a dozen, but is actually slightly more. Apparently thirteen and not fifteen, even =_=a
