Nov. 17th, 2007 09:57 pmHuzzah, I have made it safely to Texas! I am now hijacking my grandpa's computer, as I am wont to do when I visit his house. And there's not much else for me to say, since I just wanted to check in. Uh.
Oh, wait! Voting supposedly closed yesterday at midnight, and while the winner hasn't been officially announced yet, I do think the numbers look good :3b
And uh. That really is it, I think, unless someone else out there wants to arrange for Texas meetups and/or I get away with printing out a page or two of staff paper (music majors, is that the right spelling of staff, or should it be staph?) and sit down to start arranging anime openings for a capella. (Current plan is for three person presentation, SSA. May expand alto part into first and second, depending.)
Anyway, I'm out ;) Don't have too much fun without me! ...And don't break/move completely away from LJ, either. I hate missing that stuff.
Edit: By voting in that second paragraph, I mean for the Find Frank Photo Contest -_-a *fails*

Date: 2007-11-18 04:56 am (UTC)So, how are the folks about you meeting an online buddy? *pretends to look shifty* We could meet at someplace like the Houston Museum of Natural Science and check out Lucy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucy_%28Australopithecus%29). There is also supposed to be an awesome traveling gemstone exhibit in addition to the normal exhibit.

Date: 2007-11-18 03:53 pm (UTC)They've seemed okay about it so far :D And we're already planning to check out Lucy on Friday, so I'm sure Convenient Meetings could be arranged ;) I'll probably double-check, just in case, but it'll probably be okay.

Date: 2007-11-18 09:30 pm (UTC)Parental unit has not only given the okay, she has offered to call my aunt and see if she can get an extra "half off admission price" coupon for you :Db And I'll remember to give you a call sometime soon ^_^b (I'll also screen your comment, Just In Case.)
XD That would be beyond awesome, and I hope we can get away with it.

Date: 2007-11-18 09:46 pm (UTC)Awesomesocks! Thanks for the offer of the ticket but my family has a membership and I already get discounts into the museum's traveling exhibits (and free admission into the museum itself).
It would be so much fun! "The Houston Heist" could be the title. It has a nice sound. And what is the worst they'll tell us? That we can't take pictures? It is no problem for me to bring my camera and gloves.

Date: 2007-11-18 10:24 pm (UTC)Nifty :3 I'll pass that on to Mom, then.
X3 But what would the plot be?
True, that. Though I can only hope they will let us take pictures. 'Course, if we're really desperate, I'm sure they'll have postcards available of various jewels, and we can use one of those as a substitute in real life.

Date: 2007-11-19 02:41 am (UTC)Good, good.
Plot? It could be set in the past and feature Toichi as Kaitou Kid and he has been hired to steal one of the gems. I don't think there have been any stories about Toichi doing a heist. Or it could be another report of a gem with possible mysterious properties and Kaito has gone to check it out. We don't need that much plot. We just need to make it fun or interesting.

Date: 2007-11-20 11:52 am (UTC)Man I should really stop leaving comments at 5am without my glasses on DX
I haven't gone to mass in weeks DX I used to go to Christmas Eve mass... but then our church got over croweded AGAIN. so we don't go anymore.. (well mom and me.. dad still goes cuz he has duties)
I am so good at getting to things in a timely manner.
Date: 2007-11-22 06:49 pm (UTC)XD That might help, yes.
I don't blame you :/ We've been holding our Christmas and Easter masses in the gym of our local Catholic school because we don't have enough room otherwise.
Uhhhh, shoot. Off the top of my head, Yuri Monogatari 5, the Sluggy Freelance iSophagas shirt/first Megatome (but that one's really expensive x_x), or a copy of The God Eaters. Or maybe world peace/pretty random scribbles of [insert fandom here]?
You are awesome and love and stuff for asking <3
