Re: Heath Ledger: I'll, uh. Get back to you on the unfortunate event, once someone has listed for me movies that he's been in and I've watched more than one. And can place him as a character in any. Shut up, I already know I live under a rock, I don't need you reminding me.
Weather here continues to be quite annoying, with patches of snow and a side of snow, and did I mention snow? Yeah. Cannot wait for it to all go awayjust so it can come back in March. I will say, however, that seeing a rainbow when it was less than ten degrees Fahrenheit outside was a singular experience, and I do somewhat regret not having brought my camera with me to take photo evidence of it when I observed the phenomena late Sunday afternoon.
...If any bitterness is creeping into my words right now, I apologize. It's been something of a long week (as evidenced by my not updating within the past six days - I usually try my hardest not to go more than three without an update). I did see Sweeny Todd on Friday evening, which, I have concluded, is a very gory musical re-imagining of Hansel and Gretel. Those who are familiar with the story are free to speculate at will regarding why I have come to this conclusion, but are requested to keep all spoilers behind a nice, friendly white font tag.
This (temporarily?) concludes the part of the entry where I comment on the world at large, and begins the part of the entry where I validify the careers of many an elementary math teacher by using simple arithmatic to solve some of my life's problems 8Dbbb
I interviewed for a school bus driving job yesterday afternoon, and was practically guaranteed I'd get it upon completion of a training course. Between this, school, my house cleaning job, and other obligations/needs, I believe it has come time for me to see how things lay out for me.
Hours in a week: 168; does not vary.
School bus job: guarantees 20 hrs/week; no idea about summer, will have to ask. Doesn't count holidays, snow days, etc.
Cleaning job: averages 8/9 hrs/week; varies, but tax is already paid on it? Uh.
School: 12 hrs/week, unless it is canceled, in which case I'm also down 4 hrs on bus driving.
Sleep: Avg 8 hrs/day, or 56 hrs/week; can vary.
Eating: We'll call it 3/4 hrs/meal * 3 meals/day * 7 days/week, so about 16 hrs/week, if I round up?
Taking care of rats: 3.5 hrs play/week (can vary); 1 hr food prep/week; 1 hr cage cleaning/week. Total of 5.5 hrs/week.
Quire: 1 hr/week, not counting concerts, etc.
Studying/schoolwork: I heard once that it's about an hour of work per hour of class once you get into college, so we'll call it 12 hrs/week.
All that adds up to about 130 hrs/week. This does not include travel time (except for my cleaning job), time spent with family or time spent on hygiene. If we allow something like 2 hrs/day for those, I'm averaging 3 hrs/day for "free play" - less on weekdays, more on weekends, due to school transport job, unless I arrange for more of my studying to be on the weekend because of it.
I dunno about the rest of you, but I'd kinda like a few more hours per day than three for free time.
*sigh* Well, either way, that's how the math pans out. I'll work on figuring out what I want to do about it later tonight and tomorrow. Current goal: have things figured out completely and a plan ready to be executed by next week. *trudges back off to spend more free time on the 'net*
