Summary: Abe-kun talks with his hands
Fic: Sign Language
At some point during their three years together in high school, Mihashi had learned to read Abe's hand signals almost faster than he could give them. It took a while for Abe to notice, and even once he did, he didn't put much thought into it besides the fact that he could speed things up a bit. It was only after a particularly tense game in their first year as professionals that Abe began thinking of sending messages to Mihashi. It was some time before he came up with a system for it, but once he did it was remarkably effective.
The game now was going rather slowly; Abe was almost bored. Glancing at the batter, Abe signaled Mihashi for the next pitch. A split second later, he smirked and signaled again.
'The batter's belt is loose. I hope it doesn't give out while we're playing.'
Abe was glad to see his joke had paid off when Mihashi hid a smile behind his glove. Going for broke, he signaled once more.
'Wanna make out when this is over?'
For the third time that season, the team had to call a time out so they could wait for Mihashi to stop blushing too hard to pitch.
--Fin--
Only because the catchers give the signals at crotch level. ...Well, okay, not only, but at least mostly.
