So, guess who went out to Best Buy and got the final Avatar DVD today?

Commentary was on episodes 3x16 and 3x17, much to my surprise; I could've sworn it would be a couple of the finale episodes, but it wasn't. Joyness? Also, for the first time, actual speaking members of the cast were commentators ♥ (First cast/crew commentary was episode 1x17 and had at least one of the sound guys, plus the guy who voices all the animals whose name escapes me but is apparently EPIC AWESOME in the world of cartoons and voice acting and stuff. Apparently, he also played such roles as stage!Jet, stage!Ozai, and stage!Bumi in 3x17, so I find myself agreeing with that sentiment.)

Anyway, I learned something about myself listening to those commentary tracks: I do indeed fangirl US voice actors. Because yeah. Trying not to squeal like a little girl every time I heard one of them talk was... surprisingly difficult. (I would hang out with them! And make a huge dork of myself, but that's not really new?)

Aaaand, I would talk more about other things (I'm addicting my mother to Avatar!, I'm still compartmentalising my moving date!, I cannot find a good bicycle!), but I'm nearly out of time here, so. You're out of luck!

For the record, the guy who does the animals is Dee Bradley Baker. :D He is sooo amazing.

HE DID, AS A MATTER OF FACT. With Jessie Flowers (sp? augh soterrible with actors x_x), plus Mike and Bryan, on episode 3x17. It was hilarious and awesome, especially when the two actors revealed that they had a number of friends who were fans of the series but did not put two and two together until season three and then were like OMG TELL US ABOUT IT!!!!1!one! A-and yeah.

Also hilarious: Dante Bosco (sp? I FAIL, this is why I always go "That guy who plays so-and-so" rather than mentioning actual names, because I CANNOT REMEMBER SPELLINGS) talking about the Zuko = Luke Skywalker acting moments, where Ozai = Darth Vadar, especially considering Ozai's voice actor XD

Not available for commentary: any other voice actors. But still, awesome and hilarious!

Omgggg. DDD: I hope they're on them in the box set, too! I adore Jack de Sena. :D

It's Basco. XD I only know these things because I stalk IMDb. And yeah, he talked about that at the Avatar Comic Con panel last year (according to YouTube). XD

Sad day. :( I'd hoped for something from Zach Tyler Eisen (Aang) or Grey DeLisle (Azula).

I. Don't see why they wouldn't? Tell me, did they keep the commentary tracks on the other box sets too, or were they lost? Because that would probably give us our answer.

Alas, alack. We did find out other interesting tidbits, though :Db Like Grey also played Katara's mom!

Erm. I don't actually know. ^^; I'd have to check and see which ones are on the original DVDs.

No problem. XD I like to keep up with voice actors so I can know people when they come to cons I attend. I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL. XD I looked up a clip from when Jack de Sena (I accidentally typed 'Sokka' first >>;) was on All That! and as soon as he spoke I was like, "omg! *flail*!!" Because he sounds exactly the same. :D And even his style of humor is the same!!

Dante Basco, I think, would have a slightly lesser effect in that, when I hear him, I hear Jake Long as well as Zuko. And it sort of ruins the effect. :(

Oh cool! That I did not know! I shall have to rewatch that episode and see if I can catch that.

It was awesome X3 And I wouldn't have noticed if they hadn't mentioned! Plus, onstage!Zuko was played by Basco's brother :DDDb And stuff. (It's things like these that make me sad they cut the ending credits for pirate downloads. Noooooes, says I, I wants to know how to spells stuffs!

It will have Zuko making a diplomatic mission to the North Pole, and Suki tagging along to see if Sokka really did have a sekrit affair with the Moon Spirit :DDD
