Hahaha, true story: the network didn't like the pilot enough either and made them write "The Train Job" as the aired pilot. If you do, as Comic suggests, give it another try somewhere along the line, I'd recommend Ariel (which is shinier sci-fi, less western) or Jaynestown (which, while very western, is very Jayne-centric.) Going in order is for pussies.
But, eh, not everyone's going to like the same things, so don't feel pressured to watch more. If someone's given something I like a try and it's done nothing for them, I don't consider that shunworthy. I consider it awesome that they gave it a chance. Warm fuzziessss :D Now, if you were writing essays about how Joss clearly rapes his wife, that would be shunworthy. (Oh, fandom.)
