Brief update for now, 'cuz I'm going to be going to my parents' house to celebrate their 25th anniversary shortly :Dbb Technically, their anniversary is on the fifth (which is perfect, 'cuz it's 5/5 for 25, and all square-number-y ♥), but they wanted to have the party today, so the party today they shall have! Watch as I bring the laptop and/or other things to do regardless ^^a I am just so classy like that.

* Today is Blog Against Disablism Day! Disablism is bad. More on this potentially later.

* I've got a bunch of amigurumi pics to share eventually, but I'm too lazy right now. Sooner or later, though!

* Stuff happened at work today. (Art! Look-and-Speak! Bricks! I will talk about all of these eventually! Though I'm pretty sure I'll be keeping Bricks locked :{ )

* Following Icka's example: Will trade pr0n for DreamWidth invite. Wants the multi-site posting and friending ability, yes...

This news article (http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20090430/pl_nm/us_usa_congress_hate_4) shocked me yesterday, I'll admit. This part: "On a vote of 249-175, the House passed and sent to the Senate a bill backed by the new Democratic White House to broaden such laws by classifying as "hate crimes" those attacks based on a victim's sexual orientation, gender identity or mental or physical disability." I could understand the things about sexual orientation and gender identity being new additions if just because they've gotten a lot more attention and rights of late. The fact that it was still okay to discriminate against disabled people was what surprised me. I didn't think that it was a big new thing. Apparently, it is!

As for my 'disability' (people keep telling me I am, but I feel bad saying that I am whenever I can walk. |D), people have always been pretty awesome towards me about it. My parents have said some nasty things, but I'm pretty sure that every kid fights with their parents. :/

O_O That is some serious shit right there. On the other hand, considering how, last I knew, we still hadn't passed an anti-discrimination bill/law/whatever based on secondary sex characteristics (that is, biologically male vs female) on a national level, this doesn't surprise me terribly much, orz =_=

My roommates tell me that I could technically get a handicapped sticker thing for my phone phobia :| I was all, WTF, no, let the people who actually have difficulty getting around have the stupid parking places. Now, socially, my growth has been a little more stunted, but...
