Name an unpopular opinion and I'll give you at least one fandom for which I opine it.

I thought I had one more way to do this, but I guess I don't. I must have forgotten it shortly after I thought of it, if it even existed in the first place.

Unpopular opinion: I don't like slash.

Star Trek
- Watched with my parents! Can't remember if it was TNG or DS9, tho. I think I liked it then? Can't really say now.
- Reboot is the only one I'm particularly familiar with now. That said, OMG WTF quarry and dust bowl. Okay, no. (Granted, this opinion is less unpopular in Iowa, where everyone in the theater cracked the shit up when we saw the quarry-turned-canyon, but still.)
- Also, Riverside so should've built a Star Trek themed amusement park instead of a casino. Or combined the two ideas: Star Trek themed casino! THINK OF THE GEEKS WHO WOULD WASTE THEIR MONEY GAMBLING FOR STAR TREK THEMED PRIZES. WILL NO ONE THINK OF THEM.

Star Wars
- I watched the original trilogy with my parents when I was, like, eight. I didn't understand what was going on for a second. Because of this, I hated them, and am now unfairly biased against them.
- My hatred of Tombstone Pizza may or may not be related to my unfair bias against Star Wars.
- The computer animated series on Cartoon Network is kinda adorable, though! Yay, female main character! (etc)

Detective Conan
- I am paying attention to this series in spite of the mysteries, rather than because of them.
- Also, I find any number of the mysteries horribly implausible, which does not help point one.

The Keyhole
- Skeleten Key/Lockpick OTP. End of story.
(Needless to say, my real unpopular opinion is that I have no idea what it is. If it even exists, since you may have gone for the "Make up a fandom!" option up there.)



I don't like slash.
Case in point.
...I was going to follow that up with a more serious answer, but I actually don't have one. I love slash! I hate pointless slash, and especially girl-bashing misogynistic slash, but slash in general? I am cool with. (Though if it's Real Person Slash, I have to pretend like hell that they're actually imaginary characters that just happen to bear an incredible resemblance to real people, or I will be more than a little skeeved out.)
