mspa_updates if the comment form weren't messed up and/or they had switched to S2, but whatever. I may as well have something otherwise unrelated to that mess up here, right?
Disclaimer: If anyone else has speculated in this direction, I am completely unaware of it. I basically get all of my Homestuck speculating on via mspa_updates and the kink meme. That said, let's get this show on the road:
Aradia said that someone else was going to show up before everyone gets going. At first I was rather hoping it was going to miraculously be all the dead trolls God Tier'd (what with the Green Sun being the size of two universes and possibly even containing both the kids' and trols' universes, the Corpse Party, Hussie having said at one point on his second Formsrping that we would see Tavros again, and the trolls seeming to split up into the Red and Blue teams again for some reason), but now I've got a different thought.
1) All the trolls have weird powers, right? And the Signless/Sufferer's powers were to remember his past life/things outside the usual memory specturm.
2) The Signless told of a second coming of someone with his blood 'type'. This is Karkat.
3) Karkat hasn't shown any sign that he's manifested his memory powers yet.
4) Karkat just got wanged on the head but good with a bucket.
5) The Sufferer is basically Troll Jegus. (I have Thoughts on this, but I'll save those for another time.)
6) Hussie has a history of giving his characters presents on Christmas, regardless of the date in-game
7) Hussie also likes to synch significant plot developments up with real-time dates whenever possible
Conclusion: Karkat will awaken as Troll Jegus 2.0 on Christmas.
Realistically, I have no idea what will happen if this comes about. I wouldn't be surprised if Aradia were a follower of the Sufferer, or at least had studied the cult in depth, what with her archeology shit and all. Plus she's probably talked to a number of the trolls involved.
Karkat has also been doubting his powers as a leader; since D. Strider stated that the first person in the game is the Friendleader/Palhoncho/Whatever regardless of tactical skill, that they are the heart of the team, Karkat's kinda the Friendleader by default. But he hasn't been feeling it lately, what with all the shit that's been going down. Getting the weird memory powers and access to his memories from his pre-scratch life (possibly more???) would probably boost the hell out of his friendliness, and thus his Friend-leaderliness. It might give him some of his confidence back. Orrrr it could break him horribly, who knows.
If Karkat gets his memory powers back, we might be able to learn more about the trolls' pre-scratch session that way. Possibly even enough to help Karkat figure out more of what went wrong this time and maybe how to fix it. But also probably more than enough to make him swim in guilt if he doesn't have a hella strong pragmatic streak.
Regardless, if I'm right here, interesting stuff is gonna go down. And if I'm wrong, well, no harm, no foul.
