Or, well, ultimate meeting, depending on whether you count the convention itself as a meeting or not. But yes! That was today! The final meeting before the convention at which I am Registration and Accessibility staff!

Things I still need to do:
* E-mail family friend who knows ASL, find out what their rates are/if they're free for Opening and Closing Ceremonies
* Check out pricing on gaffer's tape and order it
* Buy beads
* Buy lanyard string
* Print/order "Use the Mic" signs
* Link hotel's accessibility PDF(!!!) on the forums
* Announce Quiet Room on the forums
* Tell people on the forums how to find me ("I'll be the one with the big green brain slug.")
* Finalize Quiet Room rules
* Write up speech thing for Opening Ceremonies

After today's meeting was the annual Badge Stickering Party, in which we put holographic authenticity stickers on all the badges, and name/nickname alignment stickers on the back of all the pre-reg'ed badges. I holo-stickered a number of the pre-reg'ed minor badges, and then name/nickname-stickered all of them. The pre-reg'ed badges are fun, because it's about the only time we get to see all of the great nicknames people have chosen for themselves en masse. Among the nicknames I saw were: FusRoArrowToTheKnee, three variations on Batman, "a fire on the snow", PickledSaltwater, That One Person, and several Avengers. (If we don't get a full set at the con, I will be Disappoint.) And then I had to beg off, as it was 9:30 and I'd been at the meeting area for close to eight hours. Headache =_=

At the meeting was also Awesome Computer Guru, who has offered to fix up not only my dead laptop (apparently the hard drive was dying) - which will be a huge help at the convention proper, you have no idea - but also my desktop when he drops said fixed laptop off! My desktop has been dying a slow death for quite a while now; its DVD drive bit the bullet about a year ago, and it recently got this virus that made text randomly invisible. I'm pretty sure I've basically removed that, but I've backed up everything just in case and plan to re-install the OS anyway - and Computer Guru may be able to do more on top of that! I am ridiculously happy, let me just say. I'll have to see if I can crochet him something.

And now it is officially time for winding down. Off to read the fics that updated while I was away from the computer!
