AnimeIowa starts on Thursday. I mean, the con itself opens on Friday, but setup starts Thursday and it's practically a day of the convention itself. We usually get a load of people to help with setup, especially since setup and teardown volunteer hours are worth double points, though the number of volunteers ends up trickling during the convention itself.
There's some stuff going on that I am apparently in the middle of without having known before hand, and really would have liked to know before hand, which leaves me SIGHING and irritated. It really doesn't help that my generic Prozac ran out a few days ago and I haven't been to the pharmacy for a refill yet :/ I'm getting that taken care of tonight OR ELSE.
Bag check charms are two-thirds finished. I still need to make up Use The Mic signs, and then talk to our hotel liasion about the painter's tape/gaffer's tape issue. (Short version: Hotel prefers gaffer's tape to painter's tape. I was waiting to get budget approval before ordering gaffer's tape so it doesn't come out of my own pocket. I still haven't heard back on that and it's very unlikely that I will be able to get gaffer's tape at this point without paying through the nose for fast-as-all-heck shipping.
Those issues aside, things are pretty much going about the same as they always do, but at this point even a few small negative things can feel like the straw that broke the camel's back :( I'm sure things'll turn out fine, or at least as good as they can, but in the mean time I guess it's time for a Personal Stress Party. Or a Pity Party, I'm not sure which one applies in this situation. Whatever.
