I recall this happening last year as well, though I don't think the timing was quite asgood well-executed.
Edit: Privilege is: This being only the second worse case of cramps in my life to date. It's mildly overpowering the OTC painkillers I took and somehow seeping down my thighs, WTF, but A) Being curled up in fetal position is not the only way I have to deal with the pain this time (even if I still kinda want to and crying is seeming like a more viable option the closer I get to the meds wearing completely off), and B) Seriously, out of the ~146 menstrual cycles I've gone through in my life, I really only have had two terrible ones, which is way more than some uterus owners can say.
Uterus owners who have it worse than me: I salute you. You are brave, brave individuals, and I can only admire the fortitude it takes to go through this more often than twice in a decade. Well, admire it and vote consistently for universal healthcare.
