Teen Wolf 3x22 Reactions
Mar. 11th, 2014 01:57 pmNot a lot to say, so I'll keep it relatively brief. Oh wait, [Content Note: Mention of vomit, intestinal parasites].
Crossovers I am 200% expecting now:
* Naruto (because possessed by a horribly violent chaotic fox spirit much? Seriously, I've been expecting this since it was revealed that Stiles was possessed)
* Hikaru no Go (because it doesn't make as much sense as Naruto, but it's still got supernatural elements and a go board and at least as much slashy potential as Naruto, if not more)
Slippery slope crossover:
* Bleach. Because why stop at just one hugely long shounen series with a certain amount of slashy subtext and magic/supernatural stuff? And Bleach is a lot more focused on beating the supernatural bad guy than Naruto is, which is more just about beating the bad guy, and entirely more than Hikaru no Go is, which has no beating up of supernatural beings to speak of (as far as I'm aware).
(It's like my anime fan roots are showing or something.)
I also fully expect the sale of go boards to go up/have gone up significantly because of this show (never mind that I'm pretty sure shoji is a better match for chess in terms of Japanese board games).
I would also like to say that the whole bandage puking thing only served to make me think of the world's most epic tapeworm. Long white bandage that just keeps going and going = not necessarily the best thing to be puking up if you want me to think otherwise.

But I must say: It is not Supernatural (which I loathe, except for its early-season aesthetics), but Teen Wolf does suspense really well.

I got myself through the first one, and then didn't so much rage-quit as disappoint-quit/annoyed-quit. I'm a hard sell on live action shows in general, and less so on animated ones, where I find it easier to pick up on aesthetics anyway.)
Teen Wolf definitely has me going on the suspense front. *nod nod*
